Make your plan before you vote

1. 01

   Confirm your eligibility

   Texas limits voting by mail to legal categories, including age 65 or older, sickness or disability, absence from the county, and certain other cases.

2. 02

   Apply through the county

   The application must be received—not merely sent—by the early voting clerk no later than Friday, October 23, 2026.

3. 03

   Track ballot delivery

   A ballot without a postmark must be received by 7:00 p.m. on November 3. Different rules may apply when there is a timely postmark or for military and overseas voters.
